Regression Analysis
Definition
A statistical method for modeling the relationship between a dependent variable and one or more independent variables. Linear regression predicts continuous outcomes; logistic regression predicts binary outcomes.
Example
Multiple regression analysis showed that age, BMI, and smoking status were independent predictors of blood pressure.
